본 공개공지는 교통과 쇼핑의 중심인 ‘고속버스터미널-고투몰’, 시민들의 여가와 휴식의 공간인 ‘반포한강공원’, 그리고 주거 지역 ‘래미안 원베일리‘까지 다양한 삶의 공간을 연결합니다. 많은 사람들이 바쁘게 교차하는 이곳에 잠시 멈춰서 공간을 살펴보는 것은 어떨까요?

빠키(VAKKI) 작가는 사람과 사물이 일정한 궤도로 움직이며 만들어 내는 에너지와 이들의 순환, 탄생, 소멸에 관심을 두고 독특한 작품세계를 이어가고 있습니다. 주변 사물을 기하학적 요소로 해석하여 작가만의 유쾌한 시각언어로 표현한 작품은 우리가 알아채지 못했던 일상 속 에너지의 흐름과 리듬을 의식하게 합니다.

이번 전시는 지역 유휴공간에 공공미술 작품을 전시하여, 시민들이 가장 가까운 일상 어디에서나 예술을 감상하고, 즐기도록 기획되었습니다. 잠시 멈춰서 사람들의 움직임과 빛에 따라 변화하는 작품을 살펴보고, 주변의 다양한 리듬을 느껴보세요. 이곳을 지나가는 여러분에게 영감과 쉼을 주는 전시가 되기를 바랍니다.

<작가소개>

빠키(VAKKI) 작가는 설치를 비롯하여 영상, 인터렉티브 미디어, 공간 등 폭 넓은 시각 예술 분야에서 활동하고 있습니다. 한국, 네덜란드, 영국, 두바이 등 국내외 주요 전시에 참여했으며, 베를린 Kurfürstendamm 메인 거리 등에서도 작가의 공공미술 전시를 찾아볼 수 있습니다. 애플 글로벌, 국립아시아문화전당 등 다수의 기업과 기관에서 작품을 소장하고 있습니다.

This public open space connects various areas of daily life, from the ‘Seoul Express Bus Terminal-Goto Mall,’ a transportation and shopping hub, to ‘Banpo Hangang Park,’ a leisure and relaxation spot for citizens, and the residential area of ‘Raemian One Bailey.’ How about we take our time to pause and explore the places where so many people hurriedly cross paths?

Visual artist VAKKI expands her unique artistic realm with an interest in the energy generated by certain movement trajectories of the people and objects, and its circulation, creation, and dissipation. Her art interprets the objects around us using geometric elements and expresses them in the artist’s own delightful visual language. It encourages us to recognize the flow and rhythm of energy in our daily lives, which we may not have noticed before.

This exhibition has been designed to showcase public artworks in local idle spaces, allowing citizens to appreciate and enjoy art in their daily lives. Take a moment to explore the artwork, as it changes with the movements of people and the light, and experience the different rhythms around you. We hope this exhibition can be an inspiration and source of relaxation for you as you pass by in your busy life.

*About the Artist

VAKKI is involved in various forms of visual art, such as installations as well as videos, interactive media, and spatial art. She has participated in major domestic and international exhibitions, including those in Korea, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and Dubai. Her public artwork was also featured on Kurfürstendamm, one of Berlin's main streets. Her works of art have been acquired by Apple Global, the National Asian Culture Center, and other corporations and institutions.

<Seocho - Han River Art Tour Program>

- Program: This is an "art tour program" that introduces Seocho's attractions such as public art exhibitions and Banpo Han River Park, and provides an opportunity to draw your own impression of the city with a special educator.
